My Expense Tracker (the “App”), identified by the package name com.corporate.expensetracker, is developed and maintained by Your Company Name (“we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.
We prioritize your financial privacy. The App is designed to store your data locally on your device whenever possible.
1. Information Collection and Use
A. Local Financial & User Data
Expense & Category Data: All income, expense, transaction records, categories, currency settings, and reminder preferences are stored locally on your device (using secure local database storage and Android’s SharedPreferences).
Biometric & Lock Security: If you enable lock screen or biometric authentication (BiometricLockActivity), authentication is managed entirely by your Android system hardware. We do not collect, transmit, or store your biometric data or PINs on external servers.
No Account Required: You can use the App without registering, creating an account, or providing personal identification details like your name or phone number.
B. Data Sharing & File Storage
The App uses a secure FileProvider (com.corporate.expensetracker.fileprovider) to allow you to export or share your financial summary/reports locally (e.g., sharing a file via email or saving to storage). No files are uploaded to our servers.
2. Third-Party Services and Advertising
While we do not store your personal transaction data on external servers, the App integrates third-party services for displaying advertisements.
Google AdMob
The App uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect and use certain data, including:
Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID)
IP address and coarse location data
Interaction data with advertisements
Diagnostic and performance data for ad optimization

3. Permissions Used
To function properly, the App uses the following system capabilities:
Local Storage / File Sharing Access (FileProvider): Used strictly when you choose to export or share your expense reports and files.
Biometric Hardware Access: Used exclusively to verify your identity locally via your device's secure system prompt before opening the App.
Notifications / Reminders: Used locally on your device to trigger financial tracking reminders as scheduled in your settings.
4. Data Security
We care about protecting your financial information:
All financial records, settings, and lock screen parameters are saved within the App’s private local storage on your device.
App private storage cannot be accessed by other standard applications on your device.
Because your transaction history stays on your device, we do not store or sell your personal financial records on remote database servers.
5. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to third-party ad services through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
